Illustration
I have worked for leading greetings card publishers Two Bad Mice for almost 20 years. Their products – including wrapping paper and ceramics – are sold world wide. As a result I have had enquiries and have been commissioned by customers in Germany, Canada, Japan, Jersey and throughout the U.K. Attention to detail is my priority when undertaking private commissions; the customer will list individual quirky details resulting in a bespoke and extremely original illustration.
Each card illustration is my reaction to ‘things going on around me’; whether it be travel, nature, domestic chores, daydreaming or the ‘school run’.
My picture books have been translated into German, Dutsch, and Korean. I have written and illustrated 5 picture books and have illustrated over 20.
I have produced a poster design for the Welsh Books Council, Aberystwyth and Pembrokeshire County Council to encourage children to read and learn welsh.
Picture Book illustration clients include Gomer Press – Llandysul, West Wales, Piccadilly Press – London, Templar – Surrey. Black and white illustration for poetry books and short novels for Andre Deutsch and Pont Books.

My design work varies from c.d covers to advertising campaign characters – as well as wrapping paper and surface design for ceramics for Two Bad Mice Publishers. Other clients include ‘Stovax’ Original Style Tile manufacturers based near Exeter.

Workshops
I often work with primary schools providing illustration workshops. These workshops will consist of an introduction to my work and the job of an illustrator, followed by an interactive illustration session and/or a demonstration using different materials, then an illustration project for the class. These projects can be adapted to fit in with the curriculum or a larger school project.
Larger school projects I have been involved with include a mosaic to mark the 10th year of Spittal School. Initially I worked with the children and members of the community producing designs, then alongside a mosaic artist facilitating mosaicing workshops with the children. I have also designed a 15 foot long tapestry for Llangwm Heritage based on local school childrens’ interpretations of historical stories. This is part of a long term church restoration scheme.
I also provide workshops for libraries; Caerleon – Newport County Council and Pembrokeshire county council.
